Hatha Yoga means it is a science of asanas. Asana means a posture. Innumerable asanas are possible. Of these innumerable postures that the body can take, certain postures have been identified as Yogasanas. Yoga means that which allows you to reach your higher nature. Asana means a posture. Now, that kind of posture which allows you to reach your higher nature is a Yogasana. Yogasanas are not exercises. Yogasanas are subtle processes to direct and activate your energy in a particular direction.
